What is Naturism really like? – should you ‘Grin and Bare’ it?!!!

Go naked on holiday! What me? Show all my bits and pieces to complete strangers! You’re having a laugh? The size and shape of me undressed – not a pretty sight, now if I were drop dead fantastic that might be a different thing….
Actually it wouldn’t. That’s the joy of naturism. It honestly doesn’t matter what you look like…believe me, I’ve done it, been there, but no T shirt as I didn’t wear one – or anything else come to think of it!
Naturism is one of life’s levellers. You are, for once, without the trappings of expensive (or even Primark) clothes, or any bling jewellery to show how wealthy you are as no-one bothers with trappings. No-one will know if you’re a millionaire, or living in abject poverty. You’ll be accepted for yourself, what you are inside – no pretence, no vanity, no outer mask. We’ve all got the same basic anatomy – OK, different shapes and sizes, but so what, variety is the spice of life. Would you want to be a clone of everyone else you see?
So what are the ‘plusses’?
Have you ever swum nude? No? Well, it’s the most liberating feeling - water skimming over your body – and no wet cossie clinging to your skin when drying.
Want an all-over sun-tan? – much better than those white lines, or the performance of trying to avoid then!
Total acceptance of what you look like, warts and all. Because when you look around you’ll see people with operation scars, women who have had mastectomies, fat tummies, stretch marks, willies and boobs of all shapes and sizes. None of it really matters. No-one is perfect, young women who look great in bikinis can appear scrawny when nude, and a bit of ample flesh can actually look better!
Would you be embarrassed the first time you take your clothes off in public – even though everyone else on the naturist beach or club is stark naked and doesn’t actually give a hoot what you look like? Well you wouldn’t be human if you didn’t feel a little awkward and unsure of your self. After all were do you look?! Straight in people’s eyes is always a good bet (although you may find yourself glancing up and down a few times as people walk by the first time you strip off!) I guarantee within an hour or so you will be totally relaxed, and more at ease with yourself – who you are and what you look like – than you have since you were a new born ‘naked’ baby!

We used to run a sun club called Mill Bank in Sussex for over a decade and have seen every shape and size, and agree with Jill’s comments completely. We found nothing but genuine friendship and a desire to ‘do as you would be done by’ - naturism is liberating, you are at one with nature, and once you have swum for the first time with nothing on, you will never want a soggy cozzy ever again!
Our club had, in its membership, people of all shapes and sizes, including those whose bodies had been altered for surgical reasons, but no-one cared a hoot, and all respectable people were always welcome. Sadly the club is no longer a permanent club, as the farm where it was situated was sold, but a group still exist, who rally regularly still on another farm in Sussex.
