The good people of the North Devon village of Bishop’s Tawton are less than happy with a local farmer, according to today’s Daily Mail.
Struggling to make ends meet in dairy farming he converted his farm to a camping and caravan site some seven years ago, however he has now converted a barn into ‘Club Vanilla’ which has a license to hold 12 swinging ‘events’ a year after he found running disco’s for teens to be too much hassle.

If you are a naturist and contemplating visiting Crete – you will certainly be spoilt for choice regarding naturist tolerated beaches. The majority of naturist beaches are on the southern part of the Island (please let us know if you find others in different regions) Officially naturism is only allowed in a few licensed areas, but there are many remote, quiet coves and beaches on Crete where you can get an all over suntan. Use your discretion and observe ‘no nudism’ signs when they appear – often at weekends and during July and August when a lot of Greeks make use of the beaches and you will be fine.
If you are looking for a Naturist hotel on Crete why not stay at the Hotel Vritomartis. This beautiful Hotel is family fun, with good facilities and standards; situated on a remote spot a little way from Chora Stakion with it’s unspoilt coastline and high mountains. You choose between either a room in the hotel or a bungalow in the grounds.

The enchanting island of Kefalonia (Cephalonia) is the largest of the seven islands in the Ionian Sea. The eastern shores are gentle, while those on the west or rocky and precipitous and it’s the most mountainous Island of the Ionian. It’s a green Island, with lovely forests, citrus, olive, and fruit trees plus vines.
As far as I am aware there is only one naturist resort on Kefalonia….if you know of others please leave a comment so that we can investigate and add it/them to our list.
The naturist resort of Vassaliki is Greece’s newest naturist resort. It is run by an English couple and is just a 15-minute drive from Kefalonia airport and 10 minutes away from Argostoli with it’s good selection of local shops, supermarkets and choice of restaurants and bars.

Florida’s newest Naturist resort is just 25 miles from Tampa Airport. This resort offers complete luxury – with the added bonus of being within reach of Orlando theme parks, Busch Gardens and the Kennedy Space Centre. So if you want some time out from working on that all-important all over suntan there are plenty of other things to do.
Caliente is a ‘clothes optional’ resort perfect for both seasoned naturist and first timers who are still thinking about getting all their kit off! If you want to be pampered this could very well be the naturist holiday that you have been looking for.

The Caribbean Paradise Island of St Martins is home to the famous mile and a half long sandy Orient Beach. With its fine white sand, protected by the only barrier reef in the Caribbean, and crystal clear water, Club Orient has an enviable location - but do note the hurricane season is between June and October. However, this being said the climate is the same all year round with air temperatures of 80 degrees – and the water temperature is the same. It’s only six miles from both the French and Dutch capitals on the Island, so lively nightlife is in close proximity should you wish to leave to club for a change of scenery.
Club Orient was the first ‘clothes optional’ resort to open in the Caribbean (in 1981), and is now a firm favourite with Naturists. It’s a family friendly ‘clothing optional’ resort set on a tropical beach on a peninsula of about 30 acres, all the buildings are single story, blending in with the scenery. With red pine studios and mini studio’s made from Finnish pine, all the concrete chalets are painted to match the sand so as not to be obtrusive.
There is an abundance of excursions on offer so you will never be lost for things to do in the tropical paradise, be it sailing or exploring the Island you will be spoilt for choice.
